Museums For All FAQ
What is Museums for All?
Museums for All is a cooperative initiative between the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and the Association of Children’s Museums (ACM) to encourage increased and regular museum attendance by low-income and underserved families.
How does Museums for All work?
Any family that qualifies for state food assistance and is in possession of an EBT card (known in Illinois as the Link card) or WIC ID can simply present the card or ID at the box office to receive a Basic Pass (which includes one show) for up to 8 people at $1 per guest. Any guests who wish to upgrade to an All Access Pass (unlimited shows based upon availability and historic Atwood Sphere experience) may do so for $5 per guest.
What does the Museum for All rate include?
The $1 per person rate includes a Basic Pass, which grants the card holder and up to 7 additional people access to one show. If any guest wishes to upgrade to an All Access Pass for unlimited shows (based upon availability) and the historic Atwood Sphere experience, they may do so for $5 per guest. Discounts on any other programs, special events, or in Galileo’s Cafe or the Adler Store are not included in the Museums for All program.
Do other cultural institutions participate in Museums for All?
Yes! The program continues to add new partners. Check here to find other participating institutions throughout the country.
Is there a limit to the number of Museums for All visits an EBT or WIC cardholder can make within a year?
EBT card or WIC ID holders can visit the Adler Planetarium as many times as they like and receive the Museums for All rate each time.
Why is the Adler Planetarium participating in the Museums for All initiative?
