Pluto Comes into Focus

Pluto was discovered in 1930 by astronomer Clyde Tombaugh, a new arrival at Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff, AZ. For years, the search had been on for a mysterious 9th planet in the Solar System, led by Percival Lowell at his eponymous observatory.
