Earth seems to be only the only habitable planet in our Solar System but it can't be the only one in the Universe! The search is on for planets that may harbor life and now we're another step closer. Three super-Earths have been detected orbiting the star Gliese 667C at the correct distance to maintain liquid water which places them in a habitable zone. Gliese 667C is part of a nearby triple system of stars 22 light years away. Astronomers were excited to find a minimum of six planets and the potential for many more after they revisited this study.
