William McDaniel Charitable Foundation  Bus Scholarships

Through the generosity of the William McDaniel Charitable Foundation, the Adler Planetarium is proud to offer bus scholarships for field trips to the museum for the 2011-2012 school year.

All current funding has been allocated to other applicants.  Applications will continue to be accepted from eligible teachers and schools for placement a wait list.  Should additional funds become available, bus scholarships will be awarded to teachers on the wait list in the order that complete application packets were received.

In order to participate in the program schools must meet the following criteria.

1.  Be part of the Chicago Public School system. Unfortunately we cannot offer scholarships to private or suburban schools at this time.

2. 51% of students must be classified as Low Income with the CPS Office of Research, Evaluation and Accountability.  This information is available on the first page of your school's Illinois School Report Card.

Funds are limited and will be awarded to qualifying schools on a first-come, first served basis. Applications received after funds have been allocated will be placed on a wait list pending further fund availability.
