Summer Worlds Tour is a week long summer program for children ages 5-10 years old. Campers will investigate tools of exploration at Adler Planetarium, uncover stories of mythical creatures at the Field Museum and transform into underwater explorers at Shedd Aquarium.

During the program campers investigate exhibits, create original art projects, play learning games and have lunch along the shores of Lake Michigan. Choose one of the four one-week long sessions beginning July 7th.

Session I: July 7-11, 2008

Session III: July 21-25, 2008
Session IV: July 28 - August 1, 2008

$250 per session / $230 for members of the Adler, Field and Shedd

Destination Space is a two day program for children ages 5-7. Campers will learn how telescopes, spacecraft and astronauts explore the Moon!! During the program, campers tour exhibits, view a sky show, and more in an engaging adventure designed especially for the littlest explorers. Choose one of the two day sessions beginning June 23rd.

Session I: June 23-24, 2008
Session II: August 4-5, 2008

$125 per session / $100 for Adler Members

Is a mission to Mars in your future? Living in Space is a two day program for children ages 8-10. During the program, campers will investigate the spacecraft that explore Mars, and discover what it would take to send people there as they visit exhibits, see sky shows, and try hands-on activities. Choose one of the two day sessions beginning June 25th.

Session I: June 25-26, 2008

Girls Technology is a week long summer program for girls ages 8-10. Campers will Imagine their own community with the help of 3-D software, Design, build, and program a robot to help make life possible in space and Create a video to document their experience. Together, campers will imagine, design, and create with the Adler!

Session I: July 7-11, 2008

$285 per session/ $250 for Adler Members

Session I: July 14-18, 2008

$285 per session/ $250 for Adler Members

Teen Astronomers is a week long summer program for children ages 11-14 years old. Campers will explore the edge of space using high altitude balloons that fly above most of Earth's atmosphere! During the program, campers will work with astronomers to build the scientific instruments and launch the balloons to gather data for real space science research.

Session I: July 28-August 1, 2008 (9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.)

For all camps: To receive a 90% refund, we must receive your cancellation 60 days or more prior to the start date of your camp session. A refund of 50% will be given if cancellation is received 15 to 59 days prior to start date. Within two weeks of the start date, no refund will be given for cancellations.
