Interactive Videoconferences
Adler connects to classrooms and libraries through videoconferencing (H.323) and Internet Protocol (IP) technology.
Our programs feature real scientists and historians working in the field. Each program is aligned with National and Illinois Education Standards.
Who can participate in Adler's Distance Learning Programs?
We deliver our videoconferences to audiences all over the world. Any school or library that has a videoconference system can connect with us to receive programs. Anyone with access to an mp3 player, such as an iPod or iTunes, can access our podcasts free of charge.
Our videoconference programs are designed to include interactivity and expert resources unavailable in the regular classroom.

Description: Having access to an expert in the field of space science and astronomy can be easily achieved through this videoconference connection. Our experts are available for your students to ask questions, present their projects, or discuss topics they are researching. Since this offering is flexible in topic, communication between teachers and Adler staff prior to the connection will be necessary.
Science Through Arts at Adler
Audience: Education: Grade(s): 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12

The Adler's world–class astronomical artifact collection becomes a focus for the answers. Adler's own historians and astronomers bridge your students interest in the arts to the rewarding study of history and astronomy in this interactive program.
