Whether you live in a community on Earth or on Mars, information is vital. Libraries
contain books and other resources for reference and learning, but more and more
information is becoming available online. Resources provided by experts, enthusiasts,
universities, and museums all can be accessed through digital libraries. These sources
of information will be even more valuable to the inhabitants of the Mars Exploration
Station. One computer can replace a load of books and journals and allow needed
space for other materials like food and medical supplies. The Library is a great
starting point for linking to resources about Mars on the Internet, as well as finding
great Martian multimedia materials.
