Galaxy Ride 2017 | Aug. 14-19

Galaxy Ride 2017 | August 14 - 19

The Adler Planetarium is headed to Southern Illinois on Galaxy Ride!

In 2015, we brought a taste of the Adler experience to folks along Route 66. In 2016, we visited Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa. Now we’re off to southern Illinois to celebrate the 2017 total solar eclipse!

The Galaxy Ride team will make their way from Chicago to towns both big and small. Observe the Sun (during the day) or other objects (at night) through a telescope, touch a REAL piece of the Moon, talk to an astronomer, learn how eclipses work, discover the size and scale of the Sun, Earth, and Moon, find out how fast the speed of light is—and get a little exercise at the same time—and much more!

Like us on Facebook and watch for updates on Twitter, @AdlerPlanet and #AdlerGalaxyRide, to see where Galaxy Ride will go!
