Our Theaters
The museum is home to three full-size theaters, including the Grainger Sky Theater, the all-digital projection Definiti Space Theater and the 3D Universe Theater.
Grainger Sky Theater
The centerpiece of Deep Space Adventure is the Grainger Sky Theater, which offers audiences the most immersive, technologically enhanced theater experience ever developed. Visitors become space adventurers and set off on a journey to explore our Universe like never before. Fashioned as the observation deck of a starship, the theater invites visitors to come aboard for the ultimate journey into deep space.

Definiti Space Theater
Fly into space and experience the Universe first hand in the Adler Planetarium’s Definiti Space Theater. This digital data visualization environment takes the audience on a journey through space and time to see the wonders of the Universe up close and first hand.
3D Universe Theater
Put on your 3D glasses and watch the cosmos come alive before your eyes. The audience is surrounded by the sights and sounds of space created from the latest astronomical observations and research.
