The Max & Sophie Adler Society

Estate donors of any level are eligible for membership in The Max & Sophie Adler Society, a giving circle offering special benefits and recognition. We invite you to consider making your intentions known during the Lift-Off! Campaign to become a Charter Member of this philanthropy society.

Members of the Max & Sophie Adler Society receive exclusive benefits including exhibition and sky show previews, estate planning seminars, and invitations to special events and programs.

Ways to Give

Bequests

Providing for the Adler in your will demonstrates your commitment to the museum and ensures its strong future. Your attorney can revise your will to include a gift to the Adler.

Charitable Remainder Trusts

With a charitable remainder trust, you can receive current tax and financial advantages today, while retaining income for life or over a period of time you specify.  Each year you receive an amount determined at the time you make the gift, after which the remainder transfers to the Adler. The financial security provided through this giving vehicle is a welcome source of income during retirement.

Charitable Gift Annuities

When you establish a charitable gift annuity to the Adler, you are guaranteed income for life with no investment worries.  You will immediately receive an attractive rate of return and generous tax benefits if you transfer cash or securities in the form of a gift annuity.  Based on your age at the time of the gift, you will receive a pre-determined, constant percentage of your gift back in the form of annual payments for life.

Gifts of Property

You may contribute your home or other real estate to the Adler, while retaining use of the property for as long as you live. Using a life estate arrangement, you continue to care for the property, pay the taxes and receive income it generates. By making the gift of property by deed, it does not pass through your probate estate at death, saving unnecessary expenses and delays. In addition to the reward of making this generous commitment to the Adler, you will enjoy a tax deduction now.

Life Insurance Policies

Over time your insurance needs can change and your life insurance may no longer be needed for the reason it was purchased. You can support the Adler by naming the museum as a beneficiary of all or a portion of your policy.

Retirement Plans

Using a company pension for an IRA account, you may accumulate funds beyond your needs and those of your family. In this case, you may contribute these accounts to the Adler. You will provide for the continued good work of the museum and gain important tax benefits.
