Adler After Dark Admission
Kick-off your weekend early every third Thursday from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. at the Adler Planetarium's 21+ event, Adler After Dark.
Advanced tickets: $12, $9 (members and students with valid school IDs)
Advanced tickets with Doane Observatory: Doane tours can be reserved when you purchase advance tickets; tour reservations will not be available with on-site sales.
At the door: $17 for non-members, $12 for members and students with valid school IDs
All guests must be 21 and up. A cash bar and full cafe menu is available.

Tours
Beyond the Dome Tour
Weekdays: 2:00 p.m.
Weekends: 2:10 p.m.
Go Beyond the Dome with Adler staff in a personal tour of the Adler’s exhibitions and its all-digital Definiti Space Theater. You will learn about an actual space invader, look through a Galilean telescope, and witness spectacular simulations—not available in any shows! Tickets are $6 per person and $3 per member.
The Beyond the Dome Tour will be free with general admission during the month of February.
Historic Atwood Sphere

The Atwood Sphere, Chicago's oldest planetarium, was constructed in 1913. The sphere is 15 feet in diameter with 692 holes drilled through its metal surface, allowing light to enter and show the positions of the brightest stars in the night sky.
Experience the night sky over Chicago as it appeared in 1913. Although the star positions have not changed since then, we can see only a small percentage of these stars in our current night sky due to light pollution. Enter the Atwood Sphere to be guided through an audio experience identifying stars and the constellations they form.
The historic Atwood Sphere experience is FREE with the Deep Space Adventure Pass and with the Chicago CityPASS.
