Q: Can I hold my wedding ceremony at the Adler?
A: Ceremonies are permitted at the Adler in conjunction with a wedding reception.

Q: What time can my wedding ceremony begin?
A: From Labor Day to Memorial Day, ceremonies may begin at 6 p.m. or later.  From Memorial Day to Labor Day, ceremonies may begin at 6:30 p.m. 

Q: I would like my ceremony to take place outside.  What happens in the event of inclement weather?
A: You can decide prior to 3 p.m. on the day of your event whether it will take place inside or outside.  An indoor space will be available as a backup.

Q: Can I have a rehearsal at the Adler?
A: Please contact your sales consultant to discuss times (if any) that are available.

Q: Will dressings rooms be available?
A: The Adler is happy to provide a dressing room for the bridal party.

Q: At what time can my event begin?
A: From Labor Day to Memorial Day, events may begin at 6 p.m. or later.  From Memorial Day to Labor Day, events may begin at 6:30 p.m.

Q: How much time is allotted for event set-up and break down?
A: Event set-up may begin at 3:30pm.

Q: Where can my guests park?
A: Limited metered parking is available along Solidarity Drive.  If additional parking is necessary, arrangements can be made through Soldier Field to use the parking lot next to the Adler.  For information regarding parking, please contact Ms. Melissa Martin via email at or telephone 312.771.2046.  Please note that parking arrangements are the responsibility of the client and not of the Adler Planetarium.

Q: Does the Adler provide catering?
A: Food For Thought Catering is the exclusive catering partner of the Adler Planetarium.

Q: Does the Adler require use of specific vendors for décor, floral or entertainment?
A: You are welcome to use any vendor of your choosing, with the exception of catering.

Q: Does the Adler require an event planner or wedding coordinator?
A: The Adler does not require you to have an event planner or wedding coordinator, although it is recommended.  We are happy to provide you with a list of planners who have worked at the museum in the past.

Museum Experiences

Q: Will my guests be able to experience any part of the museum?
A: Yes, certain exhibitions can be open during your event.  Arrangements can also be made to screen Adler shows.

Q: Is Night Sky viewing available?
A: Arrangements can be made for one of our astronomers to set-up a telescope on our terrace for your guests to experience (based upon availability).
