SUMMER CAMPS DESIGNED FOR YOUNG EXPLORERS

Summer Campers get excited by camp experiments.

Astro Camp | Half-Day

The Adler’s camps for young children (also known as Astro Camps) introduce campers to scientific exploration in a fun and supportive community!

NASA’s Apollo missions inspired generations of scientists, engineers, authors, and filmmakers. This year, as we celebrate five decades since the Apollo missions put human footprints on the Moon, campers will explore Earth’s cosmic companion and the technology, ingenuity, and imagination that made it possible.

Please note that summer camp programming is repeated each session. Each type of camp will have the same curriculum each time it is offered. Registering for more than one session of the same camp program is not recommended. However, if your young child benefits from repetition, you are welcome to register for multiple sessions of our half-day Astro Camps.

Adler Summ Camp - Astrp Half Day - Collecting Rock Samples

Astro Camp (Half-Day) | Grades: Entering Kindergarten and 1st in Fall 2019*

Early elementary children use critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills, and acquire new skills and knowledge through participation in this project-based learning summer camp. Children investigate and respond to a challenge or problem by using resources in the museum such as exhibits, artifacts, and floor programs. Additionally, designed activities during the week-long session will help children explore a topic in-depth so they may communicate their learning by creating meaningful artifacts or representations.
