Museum Hours
Last admission one hour before close.
Friday-Monday open 9:00 am–4:00 pm
Wednesday nights open 4:00 pm–10:00 pm (timed entry tickets)*
Tuesday and Thursday open 11:00 am–4:00 pm**
*Wednesday tickets include entry to the museum at one of the designated entry times, 4:00 pm or 7:00 pm (last admission 9:00 pm). You may enter anytime after your chosen entry time, and up to the next designated entry time. Every Wednesday night is free for Illinois Residents with proof of residency. To show proof of residency, you can use a valid Illinois driver’s license or photo ID, Illinois student ID with photo, or a photo ID plus a document (utility bill, lease, etc.) that shows your name and Illinois address.
**From March 23, 2026–April 6, 2026, the museum will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 am–4:00 pm.
Planetarium Theaters
Open during public museum hours. Explore dome theater shows currently playing.

From October 7–February 16, the Adler will be closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays exclusively for school field trips.
Heads Up: Directions and Parking
Museum Campus can get busy with our cultural attractions, stadium, and concert venue. We encourage you to plan ahead regarding directions and parking!
All Museum Campus parking lots are owned by the Chicago Parks District and managed by Standard Parking. The Adler does not control parking rates. Rates can vary due to activities such as football games, concerts, and other special events. Check the Soldier Field and Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island schedules for upcoming events that may impact parking or travel to the Adler and Museum Campus.
